IDIS (Brazil)

IDIS logoThe Institute for the Development of Social Investment (IDIS) is a civil society organisation, founded in 1999 with support from the WK Kellogg Foundation.

IDIS’ objective is to contribute to the reduction of social inequalities in Brazil by promoting the engagement of companies, families, individuals and communities in strategic social initiatives that can have a positive impact on society.

For IDIS, social investment is the voluntary and strategic allocation of financial, human or in kind resources for public benefit. To generate impact and promote social transformation, IDIS believes that social investment needs to be based on research, strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation of results.

Based in São Paulo, IDIS provides consultancy and technical support to companies, families and communities who wish to invest in social projects and programmes in an efficient and effective manner.

IDIS is a member of the CAF International Network and represents our work in Latin America.
