Celeb chefs cook up charity cash

21 November 2007

chefsCelebrity chefs, including Gordon Ramsay, Brian Turner and Delia Smith, have donated recipes to a cook book to raise funds for cancer charities.

The book, which is produced by Bupa on the company's 60th anniversary, is called Around the World in Sixty Dishes.

Bupa aims to raise around £30,000 for Cancer Research UK, The Christie's Appeal and The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, through the sale of the book, adding £5,000 of its own money.

Brian Turner, who contributed a recipe for rack of lamb with parsley crust, said: "I am happy to share the secret of one of my favourite traditional recipes to benefit those with cancer and to support research into a disease that devastates so many lives.

"Well done to the staff at Bupa for their initiative and I would like to encourage support for what has been a tremendous effort in personal time for an important cause."

On sale today, the recipe book costs £5 with all profits going to charity.
