Business Charity Awards - Winners announced!
CAF is
delighted to announce the winners of the Business Charity Awards.
The initiative was launched this year by Third Sector magazine and
the Institute of Fundraising and supported by CAF and Mandate
Communications.
The awards, which are designed to recognise the charity work of
corporate Britain, saw many winners across a range of industry
sectors including banking & finance, communications and
retail.
Over 200 of the UK’s top businesspeople and leading charities
attended the event held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane which
celebrated the many partnerships that have been established between
business and the third sector.
Stephen Cook, editor of Third Sector, comments on the awards,
“The premise behind the Business Charity Awards is to acknowledge
the little known work that UK companies, both large and small, have
completed with charities throughout the year.
“Up until now, no such platform has existed to recognise their
efforts. The success of this annual event will now hopefully
encourage other companies to take part.”
Russell Prior, Director of Enterprise & Philanthropy at CAF
comments on CAF’s support of the awards “CAF works with over 3,500
companies and 40,000 charities. We are committed to helping both
parties make more of the resources they have available and work
together more effectively. We are delighted to support the Business
Charity Awards as it highlights specific areas of achievement that
will encourage even more companies to support charitable causes and
the wider community”
