Pakistan flood appeal
Devastating floods have hit northern Pakistan, affecting an
estimated 12 million people. Over 1600 people are
estimated to have died and a further 27,000 are still trapped.
Aid agencies say entire villages have been washed away, along
with 25 bridges, which is impeding access to the affected
areas. Help is now needed to try to stop the spreading of
water-borne diseases, a high risk until the floods fully
recede.

Haiti earthquake appeal
A devastating earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter
scale hit the impoverished Caribbean nation of Haiti on 12 January,
leaving hundreds of thousands dead and over 1.5 million
affected. Aid agencies are appealing for urgently needed
funds for medical supplies, food, temporary shelter and clean water
to help those affected

and typhoons that have recently struck Asia. The sheer scale
and timing of the events mean that aid agencies urgently need
