Credit card donation in five minutes
After watching news reports of the Asian tsunami on
26th December 2004, Dana wanted to respond quickly to the
Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC)
appeal for donations.
She had heard about CAF through friends and decided to make a
donation of £100 as the DEC’s televised appeal stated that this
would help to build two houses for victims displaced by the
disaster.
The 28-year-old Marketing Analyst from Kent said: “Donating
online through CAF was quick, simple and secure. You just enter the
amount you want to give, your credit card details and confirmation
that you are a UK tax payer.
“It was refreshing to be able to use the search facility from
the homepage to search for my chosen charity. This enabled me to go
straight into the website and make my donation without any
fuss.”
Dana’s transaction was made through WorldPay, part of the Royal
Bank of Scotland Group, so it’s a safe and reliable way of making
an online donation.
What’s more, we automatically
Gift Aid
all donations made through our site so her £100
donation was added to by the taxman and the DEC actually received
£121.80.
