Heeley City Farm

Heeley City Farm is a community based training, employment and youth project in inner city Sheffield. Started in 1981 by local people, it is based around a wind and sun powered mini farm and a range of environmental features. Each year it teaches 5,000 school children, trains over 100 unemployed adults and adults with learning disabilities, works with hundreds of young people and maintains a popular visitor attraction. Most staff live locally or were previously unemployed.
