There are currently over 5 million households in the UK suffering from fuel poverty, that is the inability to afford to heat and power their home. Fuel poverty damages physical and mental health, creates social exclusion and financial insecurity and adversely affects people’s quality of life. NEA works to eradicate fuel poverty and campaigns for greater investment in energy efficiency to help those who are poor or vulnerable gain affordable heat.
