The Institute has a long established association with the voluntary sector. In particular, its Charity and Voluntary Sector Group, established in 1998, supports accountants working in an honorary, paid or voluntary capacity and those whose clients are in the voluntary sector – such as schools and colleges, charities, co-operatives, religious groups and sports clubs.
