We are delighted to announce that our £100,000 social investment to Hubbub Foundation UK (‘Hubbub’) has been shortlisted for the “Social Investment Deal of the Year”!

Hubbub uses a positive, sociable and collaborative approach to communicate environmental issues. The organisation is building a movement to engage large numbers of people across the UK about environmental issues. Hubbub aims to bring awareness, and most importantly, behavioural change into the mainstream. Our recent unsecured loan to Hubbub has enabled the charity to launch its own vlogging channel, helping Hubbub increase their audience and reach.  Hubbub continues to go from strength to strength - with pumpkin festivals, community fridges and the For Fish's Sake (#FFSLDN) just some of the many highlights.

But this nomination was not the only surprise…….

Another of our investees, Change Please, has also been shortlisted for “Consumer Facing Social Enterprise” of the year. These nominations are testament to the impactful work carried out by both social enterprises, and how social investment can support their growth. CAF Venturesome is looking forward to the unveiling of all the award winners.

Good luck to everyone!
