This is an exciting opportunity to join the CAF Bank team at CAF.

You will be the Transformation Technology Workstream Lead which is the workstream responsible for delivery of technical change within the Bank wide transformation programme. This is an instrumental role in driving the successful implementation of the Bank’s strategic vision and realising business wide improvement. Driving the work of our chosen technology vendors, this role will deliver the technology change that powers the transformation and enables a step change improvement in the CAF Bank customer experience,  and CAF Bank internal ways of working .

Reporting to the CAF Bank Business Change and IT Transformation Programme Lead, the Transformation Technology Workstream Lead will drive the work of external vendors as well as collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.  The role is responsible for the Technology Delivery workstream which will deliver the new internal core banking system and integrations, as well as customer facing app and website. The role will manage the workstream through Discover, Design, Testing and Implemention. In addition to managing the workstream, this technical role will be expected to take a broad view of technology across the programme and provide input across workstreams to make sure sensible technical design decisions are made.

This role will utilise standard change, risk and project management methodologies for supporting the implementation of the new banking platform. The role will manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies and milestones associated with the delivery of the technology, feeding into the wider Transformation Programme plan. A critical element of the role is managing the vendor through every stage of the delivery process, understanding stakeholder impacts, as well as facilitating the realisation of new business processes and aligning with workstreams responsible for organisational readiness.  Finally, this role will own and manage issues/risks to ensure delivery/cost targets are achieved as well as be a key contributor to end state operating model risk assessment and mitigation.

You will have significant experience in project and change delivery in support of enterprise wide initiatives, project management and well as a strong track record in retail banking roles, preferably in the UK financial services industry. You will also have significant experience of vendor management from design, solution implementation to end state operating models. The role requires an experienced technology professional, with the experience and gravitas to manage vendors to deliver on time and on budget delivery for CAF Bank.

A proven ability to deliver technology change  through successful collaboration and valued relationships is essential for success in the role. This role requires close management of risks and issues, and proactive problem solving to keep delivery and budget on track. In addition to experience with strategic transformation and a proven track record of getting the best from people.

You will be a natural collaborator and will have the ability to develop productive professional relationships and inspire confidence in internal and external stakeholders.
