Ben Russell is Director of Communications at the Charities Aid Foundation.

His team at CAF produces CAF’s research into giving such as the World Giving Index, brought Giving Tuesday to the UK, and works on new ideas for the non-profit sector.  

Ben’s background is in journalism and he was a political correspondent for The Independent newspaper in London.

He has also worked in communications for the Local Government Association and before joining CAF was Head of Media and Corporate Communications at the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust.

Ben is an alumnus of Manchester and Cardiff universities and a governor at The Hollyfield School, Surbiton.
