MIKE DIXON


DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS

Mike has been Finance and Operations Director of Charities Aid Foundation since 2008. Mike trained as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse where he worked for a number of years with a range of major international businesses. He joined HSBC Insurance Brokers, a large international insurance broking group, in 1993, where he was Finance Director for six years before becoming Chief Executive, a position he held for seven years. He was also non executive director of Assurex Global, the world’s largest privately held insurance broking partnership from 2002 to 2005.

Mike has been a trustee of Age UK since 10 October 2017, is chair of Age UK Trading CIC and is a member of its Strategic Finance Committee. Mike is also on the board of Future Care Capital, a health and social care charity.

Mike was until recently a Trustee of Addaction, one of the UK’s leading and largest specialist drug, alcohol and mental health treatment charities, and was Chairman of Addaction’s Audit & risk committee. He was also a non-executive director of Surrey Community Health, the provider arm of NHS Surrey between April 2009 and March 2011, where he was Chairman of the Audit Committee.
