CAF comes second in WealthBriefing European Awards

19 May 2014

CAF was highly commended for our philanthropy offering in Thursday’s WealthBriefing European Awards - coming second to BNP Paribas.

The WealthBriefing award recognises the companies, teams and individuals that have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2013’ in the wealth management, private banking and advisor communities.

The dedicated CAF Philanthropy Services team work day in and day out with private clients on philanthropy. It benefits from being part of a global non profit organisation that specialises in providing financial services and philanthropy advisory services to private clients, companies and charities.

As specialists in an organisation with an 80 year history, the depth of intelligence allows for a high level of innovation. Headquartered in the UK, there is a global outlook with offices in 8 other offices around the world. We are leaders at managing philanthropic capital and last year distributed over £428 million in 2012/13 to charities, and have close to £3bn assets under management. Currently, we work with 280,000 donors and support 50,000 charities with a specialist Private Client team for High Net Worth Individuals.

Commenting on CAF being highly commended, David Stead, our Director of Development said:

“It's wonderful to see CAF's highly experienced Philanthropy team commended in this way. Wealthy donors have turned to CAF for advice for over 80 years about all and any issues related to charitable giving  but somehow we have remained low profile!

Thank you to our clients around the world for the trust they put in us and the increasing number of top firms partnering with us to enhance what they offer."

Commenting on the evening's events, Lara Leigh-Wood, our Philanthropy Services Senior Development Manager said:

"The Guildhall looked magnificent. It was the first time that CAF had entered into the awards. Many of other nominees were pleasantly surprised to see us and spoke about the inspiring side of philanthropy for client relations and its suitable place in financial planning, wealth management and tax advisory. We had a wonderful night and look forward to next year. Fingers crossed!"

The winners were announced at a gala awards dinner which was held at The Guildhall, City of London on 15 May 2014.
