On the 24th of March the Charities Aid Foundation and Acevo brought together representatives from five major parties to lay out their positions on key charity issues and debate the future of the voluntary sector.
Minister for civil society and Conservative MP Rob Wilson, shadow minister for civil society and Labour MP Lisa Nandy, Lib Dem MP Tom Brake, Ukip MEP for Wales Nathan Gill and Bill Rigby, of the Hull and East Riding Green Party, made up our panel, with journalist and columnist Zoe Williams acting as chair.
The speakers at Church House, Westminster answered questions from the audience and talked about a range of issues, including the Lobbying Act, the role of volunteers in the NHS and the voluntary sector's place in public service delivery.
