A GIVING THOUGHT THINK-TANK PUBLICATION

This report examines the differences between charitable giving in the US and the UK. It argues that while there are clearly things the UK can learn from the US, we must be careful not to assume that everything that works in the US will work here. There are features of the US system that we cannot replicate, and features that we wouldn't want to replicate even if we could.

The report calls for a better understanding of what we can learn from America, so that we can incorporate it into a uniquely British culture of philanthropy.
