We conduct a range of activity to promote charitable giving in the UK. We work with government to improve the ways that people are able to give, and advocate on behalf of charities in order to create a positive climate in which they can thrive. We engage with politicians to make sure that charitable issues are on the political agenda, and run campaigns designed to secure and strengthen the future of giving. We undertake research to help us understand more about the different ways that people give and why people give to charity, and investigates the big issues that will challenge policy makers in the coming years. This short publication gives an insight into our work and the actions that we are taking to help ensure that charities can continue to make such a contribution to our society.
