PAVING THE WAY FOR TWO PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES

Social landlord Pathways needed to redevelop two of its properties to create eight additional accommodation units. They knew that some of the costs would be covered by the sale of two other properties but rather than waiting for the sales to go through, the charity approached CAF Bank for a loan of £1.07 million.

The loan facility enabled Pathways to undertake its first major housing development since 1995 and helped it achieve part of its strategic plan.

The result is high quality social housing to meet the changing needs of the community and local authority including units for the elderly.

“Agreeing terms with CAF Bank was an open and straightforward process, with CAF showing a clear understanding of how the loan agreements could be tailored to our needs. Drawdown was very straightforward and staff were very co-operative.”
