INVESTING IN CHANGE IN SCOTLAND

Making a real difference in a community requires more than just money.

That’s the ethos behind Impact Funding Partners, who have distributed £140 million of public and private funding for projects with social value across Scotland, including projects that work to tackle violence against women and girls.

Impact Funding Partners manages a range of funds to help build strong, resilient communities.

Since starting to use CAF Bank’s services in 2014, the charity has supported more than 700 organisations, from small community groups to social enterprises and large national charities.

Explaining their choice of banking provider, Yvonne Wallace from Impact Funding Partners said: “This made sense to us because CAF Bank is owned by a charity, so has the same values and works to support and strengthen communities.

“We are able to carry out so much of our important work, thanks to the services the bank provides.”

PUTTING MONEY WHERE IT MATTERS

Impact Funding Partners works with the public sector, private business and individual donors to put money where it matters and has the greatest impact, including promoting equality, health and wellbeing, volunteering, fair work and community engagement.

Some of their work, funded by the Scottish Government, includes:

  • Equally Safe (Violence Against Women and Girls) Fund, which supports projects that tackle all forms of violence against women and girls, such as the improvement of frontline service delivery and prevention and early intervention projects.
  • Rape Crisis Specific Fund, which supports Rape Crisis Centres across Scotland ensuring that these essential organisations can continue to provide direct support to women who have experienced sexual violence.
  • Workplace Equality Fund, which supports private businesses to reduce employment inequalities, discrimination and barriers in the workplace. Projects work to improve knowledge, skills, policies and practices to create a fairer and more inclusive working environment.
  • Volunteering Support Fund, which supports projects that aim to diversify Scotland’s volunteering pool. It focuses on people who traditionally experience barriers to volunteering, providing meaningful opportunities to volunteer.

The organisation takes a 'more than just money approach', which helps make the most of community resources and achieve sustainable outcomes.

MAKING GRANT PAYMENTS EFFICIENTLY

Stuart Niven, Business Development Manager at CAF, added: “Impact Funding Partners delivers funding, and a lot more, to organisations of all sizes and right across Scotland. We are proud to be their banking provider, enabling them to manage their grant payments and deliver a lot of great support for local communities.

“Our online banking services help them to manage their accounts and process payments, with the added security of dual authorisation. This fits well with their governance and finance policies and ensures that the charities they support receive their funding quickly and efficiently.”
