HELP AND SUPPORT

We're here to help with your questions about banking and finance for your charity.

  • We’d like to know more about CAF Bank’s governance and its investment policies
CAF Bank Limited is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority.

CAF Bank’s Pillar 3 disclosure is prepared in accordance with the disclosure standards of the FCA and gives information relating to CAF Bank’s capital resources, capital instruments issued, governance, risk management and remuneration.

The Pillar 3 disclosure should be read in conjunction with CAF Bank’s annual report and financial statements.

  • What protection does our money have?

Your eligible deposits with CAF Bank are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

For more information on the scheme, download the FSCS leaflet or visit the FSCS website.

  • Is CAF Bank ethical?

As a bank owned by a charity and run for charities, CAF Bank supports customers to deliver social impact and achieve a fairer society by:

    • providing an ethical and fair approach to banking
    • offering straightforward and transparent services that customers understand and trust

CAF Bank aims to make an increasing contribution itself to the charitable sector through the amount of surplus donated to its parent charity, CAF.

  • Why doesn’t CAF Bank have a credit rating?

CAF Bank’s business model is funded by retail deposits from our customers. A credit rating is generally needed by institutions which borrow money in the wholesale market. Unlike many institutions, CAF Bank doesn't need to borrow in the wholesale market, and therefore doesn't need a credit rating.

The cost of obtaining a rating would divert funds from our mission of supporting the charitable sector, and would have to be passed on to our customers.

  • Will our information be held confidentially?

Customer information is kept strictly confidential. We will never pass your information to any outside organisation, except as part of providing a product or service, or when legally obliged to do so.
