The new CAF Resilience Fund

The CAF Resilience Fund exists to help charitable organisations in England that support the people hardest hit by Covid-19.

 Through hundreds of unrestricted grants, this fund will support those working with vulnerable and disadvantaged groups such as those living in deprived areas, those supporting Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and people with disabilities.

 Both registered and unregistered charitable organisations, including community interest companies and social enterprises, can apply for the CAF Resilience Fund.

This fund will initially distribute £20 million made up of grants ranging from £10,000 to £100,000 to deliver rapid relief from the impact of Covid-19.

Fund name Description
Lloyd's Bank Foundation COVID Recovery Fund  This £7.4 million COVID fund is aimed at supporting charities to recover beyond the immediate crisis. The Fund will offer around 140 charities a two-year unrestricted grant of £50,000 alongside a Development Partner to help charities navigate a tumultuous future.
Catalyst and The National Lottery Community Fund COVID-19 Digital Response This fund is aimed at organisations whose work has been affected by COVID-19 and who need emergency funding to continue to deliver essential services. It will support them to develop the digital, data and design capabilities that allow them to address urgent issues and serve the most vulnerable.
Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage  This Fund will support organisations across the heritage ecosystem that were financially sustainable before COVID-19, have exhausted all other financing options, and are now at risk of failure. Grants from £10k to £3 million are available.
Common Call COVID Fund  Grants between £1K-£3K and 1 year of support available to Black-led social impact organisations.
The Fore's RAFT Transition Fund The Fore’s RAFT Transition Fund is offering unrestricted grants of up to £15,000 to help fantastic small charities and social enterprises plan for the longer term and gain a stronger footing in a post-coronavirus world. 
Barrow Cadbury Trust Covid-19 Support Fund Barrow Cadbury Trust is partnering with the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to distribute Covid-19 emergency response funding to the migration charity sector in England.
MK Recovery Fund  Funding for community groups in Milton Keynes.
Barnet Community Response Fund Funding for community groups in Barnet. 
Youth Futures Foundation Resilience Funding For registered charities or other not-for-profit, voluntary or community-sector infrastructure organisations. They must support frontline organisations in England whose aim is to improve the life chances and career prospects of young people aged 14 to 24.
Resilience and Recovery Loan Fund The Resilience & Recovery Loan Fund (RRLF) is a new fund for social enterprises and charities that are improving people’s lives across the UK who are experiencing disruption to their normal business model as a result of COVID-19.
Social Enterprise Support Fund The Social Enterprise Support Fund provides grants to support social enterprises during COVID-19. It is delivered by five social enterprise support agencies, and made possible thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund.
Charity Survival Fund The Charity Survival Fund will offer grants ranging from £1,000 up to £250,000 and aims to support up to 200 charities. It is open to UK charities with an annual income of less than £5million. Submission deadline is 5pm on 27 July 2020.

Grants Online Coronavirus Grants Online has a list of coronavirus specific funds across the UK.
UK Government Charities across the UK will receive a £750 million package of support to ensure they can continue their vital work during the coronavirus outbreak. The money is being distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Clinks Covid-19 response fund Clinks, which supports the voluntary sector working in the criminal justice system has launched a Covid-19 Response Fund to assist organisations working in the criminal justice system during the pandemic.
Independent Age Grants Fund Independent Age's trustees have released £2 million from their funds to help smaller organisations across the UK working with older people hardest hit by the virus.
UK Insurance and Long-Term Savings Industry The UK insurance and long-term savings industry has launched the Covid-19 Support Fund to provide immediate relief to charities affected by Covid-19, as well as a longer-term programme of support for people, communities, and issues where there is the greatest need. The Fund will work in partnership with CAF and the National Emergencies Trust.
Coronavirus (Covid19): Homelessness Response Fund The UK Government has announced a £6 million Coronavirus (Covid19): Homelessness Response Fund to provide support for frontline homelessness and rough sleeping charitable organisations directly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Sport England Sport England are making up to £195 million of funding available to help the sport and physical activity sector (including clubs and community organisations) through the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
Cadent Foundation Over the next 5 years the Cadent Foundation will be awarding £20+ million of grants to charities and community groups to support projects that make a real difference. Applications for the first round of funding are now closed.  
National Emergencies Trust The National Emergencies Trust (NET), in partnership with the British Red Cross, has launched a fundraising appeal, to raise and distribute funds to support UK communities. Funds will be distributed to charities through local community foundations from the 23 March.
UK Community Foundations Community Foundations around the UK are providing Coronavirus specific funding. Visit the UK Community Foundations website to find out what your local Foundation is doing.
BBC Children in Need BBC Children in Need are temporarily pausing their current grant programmes to launch two new Covid-19 Response Grants to enable organisations to continue to support disadvantaged children and young people aged 18 years and under.
Big Society Capital An ambitious £100 million programme of loans and investment is available to help get much-needed emergency funding to social enterprises, charities and small businesses in disadvantaged areas affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Ernest Hecht Charitable Foundation

The Ernest Hecht Charitable Foundation is continuing to accept applications for funding from charities who are struggling to survive funding crises during the Covid-19 pandemic, and charities who are seeking funding for future projects/activities.

Morrisons Foundation The Morrisons Foundation Trustees have pledged £500,000 towards the Homeless Support Fund. The fund is designed to support charities caring for the homeless during the coronavirus outbreak and ensure help gets to those who need it most.
Arts Council Fund The Arts Council have made £160 million of emergency funding available for those organisations and individuals who will need it during this crisis.
London Community Response Fund The Mayor of London, City Bridge Trust and London Funders have announced a fund for community and voluntary organisations in the capital. They are working with funders from across sectors to bring more money together in response to community need.
Yapp Trust Not specific to coronavirus, but Yapp Trust offers grants towards the running costs of small charities (maximum £3,000 per year, for up to three years).
Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland are keeping open their Small and Medium Grants Programmes.
National Lottery Community Fund Latest updates from the National Lottery Community Fund for organisations they fund and their projects. They will update this page as the situation develops.
Greggs Foundation Coronavirus Emergency Appeal Greggs Foundation is providing urgent funding for emergency food parcels, hardship payments and other support for charities, community groups and schools.
