You helped make this Britain's biggest #GivingTuesday yet!

Thank you to everyone who took part in #GivingTuesday 2016, the global day of giving when people, charities and companies join together to do good stuff for charity. Here are just a few highlights from the day:

  • A record 1,600 UK charities and businesses backed the campaign this year.
  • #GivingTuesday was the UK's top trend on twitter from 8am to 5.30pm with vast numbers of celebrities, politicians, businesses and leading charities tweeting about it.
  • Alongside companies and charities, many celebrities also got involved including Arlene Phillips, David Tennant, Lorraine Kelly, Martin Lewis, Richard Branson, Ricky Gervais, Tom Daley and many more.
