POSITIVE ACTION - IMPROVING LIVES
ViiV Healthcare set up its ‘Positive Action’ programme in 1992 to support communities affected by HIV and AIDS. Positive Action works with those who are disproportionately affected by HIV including children, adolescents and young people, girls and women, gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men, and transgender people.
The programme targets its funds towards projects that fulfil one or more of their criteria that focuses on:
- Delivering greater and meaningful involvement of people living with HIV
- Building capacity in grassroots communities
- Preventing HIV
- Tackling stigma and discrimination, and
- Testing innovations in education and care.
