Derek Ray-Hill

Derek Ray-Hill

Director of International Strategy and Corporate Services, Charities Aid Foundation
Derek began his career in The White House Internship Programme in Washington DC. Since then, he has worked in a variety of non-profit and government roles on both sides of the Atlantic. His experience includes launching a new international TV channel at BBC Worldwide, setting up one of the first international award schemes for corporate responsibility (The Clarions) at the International Visual Communications Association and expanding the world’s largest festival for cinema and young people (National Schools Film Week) at Film Education. 

More recently, he spent seven years as an Executive Director at London First running their commercial strategy alongside many leading corporates and launched Cities Restart, a new international network for business and civic leaders focused on Covid-19 recovery. Derek is also a trustee of Police Care UK.

Senior International Partnerships Manager, Charities Aid Foundation

Philippine leads the growth of CAF’s international philanthropy proposition. She works closely with partners, clients and senior stakeholders to transform and expand cross-border grantmaking. She is passionate about maximising the impact clients can achieve with their philanthropic capital and transforming their cross-border giving to be more effective. Prior to joining the CAF International team, Philippine was a trusted philanthropy advisor to CAF Private Clients, working with individuals, families and their independent professional advisors to accomplish their philanthropic goals. 

Philippine brings with her a wealth of expertise in working with high-net-worth donors and leading giving programmes at global cultural institutions, including the British Museum, the V&A and the Natural History Museum. She has an MA from the University of Edinburgh in History of Art and Philosophy and a diploma in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

Rachel Nicoll

International Network Manager, Charities Aid Foundation
Rachel joined CAF in 2022 as International Network Manager. Rachel is the day-to-day contact for our network partners, she coordinates activities across the network to support the cross-border capabilities of the organisation. Rachel comes to CAF after several years working in the luxury travel sector, both in sales and as Head of Product. She has also previously led international programmes in South America and Africa. 
Gabby Maldonado

Gabby Maldonado

International Executive, Charities Aid Foundation
Gabby joined CAF in 2023 as the International Executive. She provides team support for the whole CAF International team, including project coordination, day-to-day admin and desk research. In 2021 she graduated with first-class honours in Global Politics and International Relations from Kingston University. Gabby has a deep commitment to social responsibility, having volunteered with various organisations that focus on human rights, development, and environmental protection.
