Non-Executive Director, CAF Bank

Graham has spent his whole career specialising in commercial lending. He started with Barclays and spent 27 years in a variety of roles which included front line relationship management as well as a number of appointments into credit risk management positions. Senior roles with the Bank included Area Director for Medium Business for Devon and then Essex. This was followed by 4 years with Abbey Commercial Lending as Regional Director for the Midlands and then Deputy Head of Business.

In 2007 Graham was appointed as Head of Commercial Lending and Social Housing at the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, now part of the Yorkshire Building Society. In 2017 the book was just over £1bn consisting of circa 3000 SME borrowers and 10 Housing Associations.

In July 2017 Graham was appointed as CEO of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers, a trade association responsible for 1600 members and 130 lenders.

A qualified banker, being an Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Graham has originated and obtained credit approval for SME commercial lending across a spectrum of lending products and services. He has undertaken credit risk roles including recovery responsibility and has been responsible for the leadership of commercial lending teams in a number of locations for both clearing banks and mutual organisations.
