Charity Street - the value of charity to British householders

Charities play a vital role in our national life - but are we fully aware of how much good they do?

Published in partnership with IPPR, our 'Charity Street' report surveyed 2,070 adults in July 2014 and found that:

  • 93% of households have used at least one charitable service at some point in the past.
  • Those who say they've used or accessed charities within the last 12 months have - on average - used three different services during that period.
  • 68% rated the role of charities in society as highly important.
