Find out more about CAFTrust us with your giving with the Charitable Legacy Service
When you leave gifts to more than one charity in your will, you could unintentionally be handing a problem to your executor. For example, if one of the charities stops operating, it could cause issues with the inheritance tax liability on your estate.
Instead, our Charitable Legacy Service will distribute the money to your chosen charities for you when the time comes. Simply name one charity as your beneficiary: CAF, then instruct us on your wishes.
We’ll take care of everything else.
We will give you the exact wording to use for adding a clause to your will.
If you’re not sure, our advisers can help.
List your charities or charitable causes in a Letter of Wishes and return to us.
We’ll do the rest, distributing the funds to your chosen charities according to your wishes.
DOWNLOAD BROCHUREWhether you leave a fixed amount from your estate, or a remainder of it, we offer complete flexibility.
If your choice of charities changes over time, simply send us a new Letter of Wishes. There’s no need to involve your will-writing professional.
When you name just one charity (CAF), you save time and costs for your executors – which could free up more money for your chosen charities.
As a registered charity, when you trust CAF to take care of your giving, any tax benefits will stay valid, even if one of the charities you name no longer exists.
We’ll never share your Letter of Wishes with anyone – unless you ask us to. Your choices can remain completely private.
While we typically receive cash gifts, we can also handle legacy requests to leave other types of asset.
Once you have updated your will with a new clause using the given wording, complete a Letter of Wishes and return it to us.
