Loans to help you thrive

We know that obtaining loan finance isn't always a straightforward process, as many commercial lenders simply don’t have the appetite for lending to charities. As a registered charity ourselves, we understand this and take a different view.

Secured loans

Whether you're looking to undertake a project, purchase or refurbish a
property or expand your services, CAF Bank will work with you to understand your organisation and tailor an affordable funding solution that meets your needs and is appropriate for your circumstances*.

You can borrow any amount from £50,000 to £5 million with loan
repayment terms up to 25 years.

Unsecured loans

Our award-winning social investment arm, CAF Venturesome, offers short-term (up to 5 years) unsecured loans to charities, social enterprises and
community groups, in circumstances where most high street providers
cannot help.

Loans are available as:

  • bridging loans to help manage your cash flow
  • working capital
  • standby money (similar to an overdraft) to help you while waiting for fundraising or other income, such as grants
  • development capital for you to invest in transition or growth

CAF Venturesome works with UK organisations operating for more than
a year that have a clear charitable purpose and social impact.

We offer loans of between £25,000 and £250,000 (or up to £350,000 in certain circumstances) and our experienced team will work with you to help decide the best loan arrangement.
