Kenya Kesho in the Swahili language means Kenya for Tomorrow. The Kenya Kesho Trust is a not-for-profit charity that finances, and operates the Kenya Kesho Primary School for Girls. In our region of Kenya young girls face many barriers to education caused by poverty, cultural norms and practices and a challenging infrastructure. To address this vital local need, The Kenya Kesho Trust funded the construction of The Kenya Kesho School for Girls, which was completed in July 2019. We aim to educate to eradicate poverty and inequality. We provide every young girl from the Mshiu Community the opportunity to be “the best she can be” by providing her with free primary education that delivers the skills, vision and confidence to help build a new destiny, and break away from the cycle of poverty that she was born into. Our school offers its pupils a unique opportunity to be better educated, to be better informed and to be better prepared for secondary school and the future.
