TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE CONSERVATION AND THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN AFRICA FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC PARTICULARLY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE ECOSYSTEMS INCLUDING: (A) SUPPORTING SPECIFIC PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY THE BAOBAB TRUST MOMBASA IN THE FIELD OF SUSTAINABLE CONSERVATION OF NATURE AND WILDLIFE; (B) PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION BY CREATING AN AWARENESS AND BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE ENVIRONMENT, LOCAL ECOSYSTEMS, AND TRAINING IN ECOFARMING METHODS; (C) ENCOURAGING RESEARCH INTO SUSTAINABLE CONSERVATION METHODS AND THE PUBLICATION OF THE RESULTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC; (D) WORKING WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO DEVELOP SUSTAINABLE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION AND ECOFARMING PRACTICES; AND (E) PROMOTING FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATING THE PUBLIC SCHEMES FOR THE REHABILITATION OF LAND DAMAGED BY INDUSTRIAL AND FARMING ACTIVITIES OR LAND IMPACTED BY THE PRESSURES OF A GROWING POPULATION. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IS DEVELOPMENT THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS.
