ABOUT US

Meet our Trustees

Kate Newman, General Counsel and Executive Director of Governance

Kate is a senior lawyer with over 30 years' experience in private practice and the charity sector, currently serving as General Counsel and Executive Director of Governance at CAF. She joined CAF in 2015 as Head of Legal and Secretary to the Trustees, covering the CAF Group including CAF Bank, and was appointed to the executive team in late 2024.

Her earlier career includes eight years as a Partner at Vertex Law LLP and nearly nine years as an Associate at Cripps Harries Hall LLP, with a focus on governance, joint ventures and third sector advisory work, corporate law, acquisitions, commercial contracts, and partnership structures.
