My career with CAF: being a member of the Employee Council

What is the Employee Council?

The Employee Council is a group of people elected by colleagues to represent their voices to our leadership team - and vice versa. We hope to provide an alternative route for employees to share their views and ideas and contribute to making CAF a great place to work - and an organisation they’re proud to work for.

What role do our values play in the Employee Council?

A key factor in the success of the Employee Council is our colleagues trusting us to communicate their views effectively and also to be a point person if they need to discuss something in confidence. We’re dedicated to wanting people to feel passionate and supported in the work they do.

Why is the Employee Council important to CAF?

As an organisation that supports the charity sector, we want to live out our values. That means creating an environment where we ourselves feel supported, valued and motivated.

What made you want to get involved?

A diverse and inclusive working environment is very important to me. The Employee Council provides an opportunity to get to know the organisation from a broader perspective, connect with colleagues outside of my team and contribute to creating a positive working environment for everyone.

You can discover more about our values and what we do by getting to know us.
