CAF Bank tops Charity Excellence’s banking survey

CAF Bank has been named Best Bank and Best UK Charity Bank Account in Charity Excellence’s Charity Bank Account Survey 2024.
The survey of charity banking customers found CAF Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), to be top-rated both for overall performance and in responding to customers.

Commenting on the results, CAF Bank CEO, Alison Taylor, said: “Supporting charitable organisations to carry out their vital work is at the heart of everything we do at CAF Bank. Through engaging with and learning from our customers, we are committed to finding ways to enhance our services and provide them with the resources they require to support causes throughout the UK and beyond. 

“I’m delighted that we have named been as both Charity Excellence’s Best Bank and Best UK Charity Bank Account 2024 and I look forward to CAF Bank furthering our support for the sector in the year ahead.” 

Charity Excellence’s Founder, Ian McLintock, said: “Charities need bank accounts operated by people who ‘get what they do’, which are simple to operate, and with good customer service” and that CAF Bank “had demonstrated that there is no barrier to good service”.

The survey was completed by 326 organisations from Charity Excellence’s community in October 2024. 

Achieving a winning score of 7.9 to be named Best UK Charity Bank Account, 11% of respondents rated CAF Bank 10/10 with a further 20% providing a rating of 9/10.

When asked to provide scores for how banks have responded when issues have been raised, 18% of CAF Bank respondents rated the service provided as 10/10, with an overall winning score of 6.7.
