How to redeem your CAF Charity vouchers

If you've received a CAF Charity Voucher, follow the instructions below to get the donation paid into your charity's bank account.

Our online fundraising platform, CAF Donate, gives you the ability to redeem voucher donations yourself so you can receive your donations within 2-3 working days. 
 
Signing up is free and you can access other fundraising features, like setting up online donation forms on your website, accept Direct Debits and have Gift Aid claimed on your behalf.

When you sign up, you will first be given access to our free reporting tool, CAF Charity Dashboard, to simply view your donations online.

You can then upgrade to CAF Donate for free from your reporting tool to unlock it's full fundraising features including processing vouchers yourself. 

 

Important

To make sure your donations safely reach your charity, we'll ask for some details about your Trustees and organisation, along with proof of your charity’s bank details before we open your account for you.

If your charity receives only a few voucher donations, or if you do not require the other fundraising features of CAF Donate, you may want to simply post your vouchers to us for processing at:

Important 

In order to get your donations quickly, we can send the donation to you via BACs. We’ll need proof of your organisation’s bank details sent back with the voucher, please see our FAQs below to find out what we need to do this for you.

Remember to sign up to our free reporting tool, CAF Charity Dashboard, to see all the donations you receive from us online.

Step 1: Send the voucher to us. 

We will process it and assign your charity a Beneficiary Number. You'll then be able to sign up to our CAF Charity Dashboard and view your CAF donations online. Send the voucher to:

Step 2: Sign up to CAF Charity Dashboard.

Sign up to CAF Charity Dashboard and you will be able to view your CAF donations online.

We prefer to transfer funds via BACS, so we can get your donations to you as quickly and as safely as possible.

Please email bankverification@cafonline.org and provide your charity's sort code, account number, and account name and title exactly as it appears on your bank statement. 

Once you have provided these details to us, we will verify them electronically using a Confirmation of Payee Service before proceeding with any payments.

If verification is not possible, we may have to come back to you to request a copy of your charity’s bank statement to confirm proof of your bank account.

If you’ve received a statement from us in the past it will be on the top right hand side of the statement.

If you’re a new customer, please contact us on 03000 123 000 and we'll create one for you. 

If your charity receives several CAF Charity Voucher donations, you can get these in your bank account quicker.

Donations will appear in your account within 2-3 days using CAF Donate, rather than 2-3 weeks if you were to send them to us for processing. Plus, you can save on postage costs. 

Making sure your donations get to your charity safely and securely is our utmost priority.
So as part of our due diligence, signing up to CAF Charity Dashboard is the first step in our verification process. Upgrading to CAF Donate is the second step.

As well as being a registered charity, CAF is also registered for anti-money laundering purposes.

This means that we need to take a few more steps with our due diligence process – and in the case of CAF Donate, this means asking you for the full names, addresses and dates of birth for all your trustees. 

It might seem like a pain now but it does mean that you can be reassured that we are extremely scrupulous in all our interactions with you and is why CAF is trusted by charities and donors alike.
