Alison joined CAF Bank as Chief Executive Officer in December 2019. She is leading our strategic focus on growing lending to charities and social purpose enterprise clients.

Alison believes in placing clients and colleagues at the heart of everything we do. This is reflected in the design of our transformation programme and the leadership ethos she has instilled. A passionate advocate of the bank’s positive social impact, she sees the potential for sustainable finance to strengthen our clients’ organisational resilience.

Before joining us, Alison spent many years at HSBC in corporate banking leadership roles. She also served as HSBC UK Chief of Staff on the Executive Committee which managed the transition of HSBC’s ring-fenced bank, HSBC UK.

Initially Alison trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte, working in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions across sectors in the UK and overseas. She then transitioned to banking by joining Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banking Group PLC to drive their leveraged finance business in London.

Off the clock: Alison has a long history of volunteering with charities, particularly in combatting homelessness. One area of focus has been helping banks navigate regulations to provide bank accounts for people with no fixed address.
