You’ve signed up for Giving Tuesday, but where do you start? This timeline will help you plan your activity.

Need more persuading?

Here are five more reasons why your charity should get involved:

1  You’ll be joining hundreds of charities like you

More than 2,100 organisations signed up as partners last year – making it one of the UK’s biggest charity campaigns.

2  Boost your fundraising

On last year’s Giving Tuesday, we broke the Guiness World Record for the most amount of money donated online in 24 hours. Taking part gives you a great opportunity to boost your charity’s fundraising. You could tie it in with existing campaigns you’re running, or run a specific Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign.

3  Everyone’s talking about it

On the day, the #givingtuesday hashtag has been the UK’s #1 social media trend for the past four campaigns. It has the support of all the UK’s major political parties and celebrities including Emma Watson, Richard Branson, Ricky Gervais and Cara Delevigne.

Seize the opportunity to associate your charity with this positive news story and use it to mobilise your supporters, whether they’re celebrities or not!

4  Our charity partners love it

Last year our charity partners used the campaign to raise awareness of their work, attract new donors, and engage their supporters. And 83 per cent of them said they would participate again this year.

Whatever your goals are, the benefits of taking part are endless.

5  It’s free!

There’s absolutely no cost to taking part. All you have to do is sign up.

We can help you do good stuff
