Joanna Walker

Head of Private Clients

Joanna has spent the last twenty years building a career in finance and philanthropy. Her passion is working with clients to help them realise their philanthropic goals; giving as much as they can, whilst having the greatest impact on social good. Joanna's experience embraces international banking with UBS Wealth Management in London and Dubai, and fundraising for some of the UK's most exciting charities: Impetus-the Private Equity Foundation, The Brooke and Forum for the Future. She holds a degree in Geography from the University of Manchester and qualifications in both finance and fundraising.


  • Aurelia Kassatly

    Senior Private Client Manager

    Aurelia joined CAF in November 2018 as a Senior Private Client Manager. She was previously at the Founders Pledge, joining after completing her MBA as a Boustany Foundation Scholar at the University of Cambridge, where she focused on Finance. Prior to this, Aurelia worked for six years in Beijing in the policy and not-for-profit sector. Aurelia is very interested in the relationship between donors and grantees, the link between how charities are financed and their ability to have impact, and working with private individuals to make their giving as effective as possible.

  • Joe Maniski-Luke

    Private Client Manager

    Jo joined CAF in the Autumn of 2017, having spent two years working in a super-yacht charter at an international yacht brokerage. Joe enjoyed working with a wide variety of high net-worth clients, several of which included household names and royalty. Prior to that, Joe worked for a top international matrimonial lawyer, specialising in ultra high net-worth, complex and international divorce cases. Joe graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2014 with a degree in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics – the scientific study of language.

  • Amy Cunningham

    Private Client Excellence Manager

    Amy has worked at CAF for over 11 years, originally on CAF’s Corporate Accounts, which provided her with great insight into the Corporate Social Responsibility sector. She then moved to the Private Client team in 2012 wanting to further her experience of individual giving and explore what personally motivates donors to give. She regularly engages with a broad range of Private Clients, supporting them throughout their giving journey. Amy manages a portfolio of clients, and also works with internal and external parties in order to deliver a high-quality service level across the team.

  • Sophie Barnes

    Private Client Manager

    With 11 years experience working in the sector Sophie has built relationships with many companies and individuals. Starting her CAF career as a Customer Service Representative she has progressed into the Private Client Team where she now helps individuals with their philanthropic aims. Sophie is passionate about building relationships with her clients and hearing about the charities they care deeply about. Sophie has a particular love of animal charities.

  • Sarah Pook

    Private Client Manager

    Sarah has over six years of global experience within both the financial services and public sector, located in Europe and the Middle East. She has previously worked as a wealth manager and also for a credit ratings firm. She has a proven ability to discuss sensitive financial matters, uphold relationships and develop trust with clients from diverse cultures and professions. She has attained an MBA in International Business from University of Birmingham. Additional experience includes providing consultancy to a UK national charity and SME. She has also been a trustee for an educational charity. 

  • Shiv McKeval

    Private Client Manager

    Shiv has always been a very people-focused individual starting his professional career in personal training and building long lasting relationships with clients. After three successful years he spent two years travelling around the world visiting countries such as Australia, Canada, Norway and South America. Upon returning home he developed his skills in the financial industry becoming a Relationship Manager for a Private Bank. Shiv now has the opportunity to combine his passions, working with people and helping charities by working for CAF.

  • Frank Page

    Private Client Manager

    Frank joined the Private Client Team in December 2016, having gained two years experience working in the financial sector. With a degree in Economics and Politics, he spent two years working in personal banking at Santander. Having enjoyed the fast-paced nature of a front-office environment, Frank moved to CAF where he works with a diverse client-base made up of individuals and families.

  • Jon Kinnell

    Senior Private Client Manager

    Jon began his career in hotel management before making the change to financial services and the Co-operative Banking group in 2006 - where the brand’s compelling work injecting life into small medium businesses and how that then helped local communities, struck a chord with him. He joined CAF in 2011 and advises on projects from £10,000 to around £100million and is now working with  a wide range of UHNWs, families and corporate donors. With nearing 15 years experience in the sector, he loves analysing new ideas and building new relationships globally for the benefit of the charitable sector.

  • Dan Noakes

    Senior Private Client Manager

    Dan has over 14 years experience in the finance and charitable sectors starting with leading insurance companies such as Zurich, Axa and Aviva before deciding to focus on linking his financial skills in the social sector. He was at Medecins Sans Frontiers for 12 months prior to joining CAF. He now manages a wide portfolio of clients with philanthropic funds from £100,000 to £70m+. Dan oversees our Business Development strategy liaising with leading professional services in Wealth Management, Law and Accountancy. He has a diploma in Journalism & Newswriting from the London School of Journalism.

  • Ben Grabham

    Private Client Executive

    Ben has over 15 years experience of working in the public and voluntary sectors. This included roles such as a Programme Manager for a local authority administering a £50m grant funding programme, a Commercial Bid Writer for the largest not-for-profit Housing Association in England, and delivering a Department for Work and Pensions programme helping people with disabilities back into work. Ben Joined CAF in July 2016 as a member of the grantmaking team where he helped to run the Smart Energy GB in Communities grant fund, before joining the Private Client Team in May 2017.

  • Tracy Dyer

    Private Client Executive

    Tracy joined the Private Client Team in October 2018 after working in the finance sector for over 30 years. Her roles varied from supporting personal banking to corporate clients to building relationships with SME clients in the commercial sector. Tracy has a passion for providing excellent customer service and going above and beyond. Looking after private clients at CAF gives her the opportunity to establish new client relationships and help achieve their philanthropic goals. She currently volunteers at the Cats Protection and is a keen runner having completed her first half marathon in April 2018.

    Private Client Executive Team Leader

    Elly is the team leader of the Private Clients Executive Team, delivering outstanding client service and experience. Responsible for managing Charitable Trusts, she provides tailored philanthropic services to Private Clients, HNW individuals, Family Foundations and Corporate donors. Passionate about enabling our Private Clients to reach their philanthropic goals, she enjoys the opportunity to work alongside both charities and philanthropists.

Amy Blackwell

Manager – Private Client Advisory

Amy approaches strategic giving from a background of life and work experiences. She was previously a broker with Merrill Lynch private banking with a focus on collaboration with tax advisors. She’s also raised three children whilst chairing charitable organisations, managing volunteers, sitting on grant and political action committees, raising funds and being a board member of a South African health and education charity. This exposure to the sector has provided a 360 degree view of what good giving looks like. She has an honours degree in American History from Northwestern University and a MSc from LSE in International Development-Humanitarian Emergencies.


  • Jonathan Oppe

    Operations Lead

    Jonathan has over 10 years experience in operational as well as customer facing roles in the charity sector. He joined CAF from the international development membership body Bond where he worked within their training team. Previously he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the Tasha Foundation, an innovative mental health charity offering online support and instant messaging counselling. He joined CAF in March 2017 and has a wide range of responsibilities including reporting and data analysis, research, charity engagement and day-to-day operations. Jonathan has a BA Hons in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Liverpool.
